About Me
Like a lot of creative people, I've been making things with my hands for as long as I can remember.
I can't really explain why, but I'm drawn to creativity and seem to root it out wherever I go. Every chapter has brought a new creative obsession, a new skill to learn, or a new project to throw myself into.
From drawing to painting, DIY to fibre art (and probably an unhealthy amount of crafts — joking, you can never have enough), I've happily dipped my toes in it all.
I'm largely a self-taught artist, and over the years I've explored many different paths, including running a small business making handmade macramé and fibre art pieces. Each experience has shaped the way I see colour, texture and beauty in the everyday.
Colour has always fascinated me. I notice it everywhere — in flowers from the garden, folds of fabric, old china, candlelight, and the quiet moments we usually rush past. Much of my work is inspired by these fleeting moments and the atmosphere they create.
I've found myself in this little space in time, painting the things I find beautiful and hoping they bring a little joy to others too.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my work. I'm so pleased you're here.
